Part I: My Story and Experience
Where to even begin man.
Doom, a game that I thought was nothing when I was 10 years old. Around middle school, I started to get into more old school games like RCT2, Left 4 Dead, CS: Source, Half Life, GTA Vice City, etc. Then, I discovered the one and only game, DOOM! I made the purchase on my Nintendo Switch for $1.99, for Doom 1 and 2. I didn't know what to expect other then "another boring game". Launching the game for the first time and still to this day, forever grateful that I made that purchase haha!
I was hooked on Doom what I bought my gaming laptop. Been watching BigMacDavis, Decino, @MtPain27, @Clippy, and @Spectereforever now and they helped me through my early years of exploring the Doom Community of wads, still love them today, they are the best!
Part II: Discovering The Doom Community
My first ever PWAD I played was the classic megawad, Scythe. I was having a blast playing through all the levels and after playing through the official Doom maps, I never knew there was THOUSANDS of wads waiting for me to discover and play! Scythe made me love Doom than ever, watching BMD's walkthrough on the classic megawad made me want to play more custom wads in the Doom community.
I finally found the best community ever, Doomworld! Man oh man, was I hoping out of my chair from excitement to explore the world of Doom wads. Doom Wiki was my go to site for downloading and reading about different wads from the past and present. Reading about them on the Doom Wiki was so calming for me, I loved it so much!
Even started to read and listen to music while going through ONEMANDOOM's Wad Reviews by @kmxexii. In my opinion, the best wad reviewer out there (sorry, no offense @Not Jabba, @baja blast rd., and @Maribo) His writing about the wads are fun to read through and makes you want to play them all haha :)

Part III: Why Play Classic Doom?
Well that's a simple question.... WHY THE HELL NOT?
Classic Doom in my opinion has one of (if not) the best gaming community ever, Doomworld! Since 1994, people have been mapping and submitting their awesome creations onto the World Wide Web! I never played a game where it's community has been strong and active after 30 years, wow, now that shows you why Doom is worth playing and is the best! Doom should be played by everyone, even if just trying it out once.
I couldn't imagine my life without Doom and it's community. It will forever have a special place in my heart and it's important to me, Doom changed my life, really it did! I'm not the only one that thinks this way about classic Doom and I don't blame them, its a wonderful piece of art to play and explore!
Part IV: Final Statement
Wolfenstein 3D.... good
Duke Nukem 3D.... great
Quake.... Yeahhhh!
Blood.... Oh now this is awesome!
Half Life 1.... OMG, this is epic!
DOOM.... Absolutely Cinema, 100/100
All jokes aside. Doom, what in the world would I do without you. The game and the people in Doomworld really helped me through the tough times in my life. I don't know if some of you people know about my past life with depression and stuff, but, All of you guys in the Doomworld community gave me tons of love and I'm forever grateful to meet you peeps :)
You guys and Doom where my escapism, like @Endlesssaid in one of his Wadazine Issues.
Just playing Doom wads, easy or hard, makes me happy. It's like therapy for me, simple and sweet killing times in hell haha :) Exploring Doomworld and reading through the Doom Wiki articles is so cozy and comfy, right next to the warm lamp and sitting on the soft couch.... Such a nice vibe that I recommend doing! It's helped me escape my anxiety attacks and depression, even though it still follows me, Doom is my cooping skill.

You guys are the best and I'm so glad to be apart of the bunch and even the maps I made for the CP's. You all are my best friends :)
